Thank you for your continued dedication to MUNGU Academy. Your unwavering support and generosity drive our mission to empower young athletes in Uganda through soccer, education, and faith. We are thrilled to share some exciting updates and accomplishments from the past month. Your involvement is making a real difference in the lives of these incredible children, and we couldn't do it without you.
Here are some updates from MUNGU Academy:
Uganda Trip Recap
We are thrilled to share that our founder, along with several team members, visited Uganda last month. This trip was an incredible opportunity to connect with the young athletes and witness firsthand the impact of our collective efforts.
On this trip, thanks for our sponsors, we were able to bring new jerseys, gear, goals, shoes, and supplies for MUNGU Academy. On top of this, we were able to secure funds for almost all of our children to get world class education from their sponsors. We are still looking for 10 more people to sponsor children. We secured our own soccer pitch, and are working on raising the level of the soil to install turf onto it. We have won over 8 major tournaments this year and are expanding our mission to getting 1 home and 1 school to have our children in. As MUNGU is a 501(c)3 non-profit, we are legalizing our NGO (Non Government Organization) status in Uganda to allow us to have all these kids in one roof. So much is happening, and we thank you for your support!
MUNGU took 1st place in the national league at the end of June.
Sponsors Zoom Call - August 29
We are excited to announce our second sponsors call on August 29. This special event offers you the opportunity to connect with the child you are sponsoring through an individual Zoom call. You will be able to see firsthand the difference you are making in their life. Each call will include the child, their sponsor, and a MUNGU coach or team member to facilitate the conversation.
After all individual calls are completed, we will host a group call with the MUNGU management team. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to get to know our team, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback.

Athlete Sponsorships:
We still have 10 children in need of sponsors to support their journey at MUNGU Academy. For only 34$/month, which is about 1 cup of coffee per week, you can take care of a child's
- Education and tuition costs
-Food + Shelter costs
-Soccer Gear + Transportation
-Legal Fees

MUNGU Soccer Field Project
The good news is that we officially secured out own soccer field and pitch. The bad news is due to to rainy season, as you can see, our field got completely flooded and is unable to play on currently.
We have found a solution, but we need your help to pull it off.
We are going to raise the soil level up to a point where the flooding cannot touch it. We already have an organization who is going to install turf fields once we raise it. We need to raise $10,000 to raise the soil. If you can help us with that, please donate any amount to the link below. Thank you!
